There is no real number to put on a marketing budget. It really depends on your business size and your goals. If you’re a newer agent, you’re better off not spending much on your marketing. The best marketing you can do is build relationships.
Open Houses
This is a good way to get some leads from unrepresented buyers. Let the agents at your brokerage know that you would be willing to help out at open houses. This is an easy way to build up your client database, and it makes you look like a team player.
CRM
If your brokerage offers this, it can be super helpful. Many have set-it-and-forget-it tools that you can set up to make sure you stay at the top of mind for your clients. With this tool, you can also send out regular newsletters to your email list. In your news letter have value real estate information, but also include things like recipes or tips.
Social Media
It is important to make sure you have engaging content for your followers and potential clients. But most important is to engage with your online community. It is a good idea to go through a couple of times a day and engage with your friends’ and followers’ posts. Actively engage with them. This means more than just hitting the like button; this is commenting on their posts. Ask questions and offer information when you can.
Handwritten Notes
This is a good way to show that you are there to build relationships. Everyone enjoys handwritten letters, and this is an easy, low-cost way to make someone feel good and puts you at the top of their mind.
Pop-bys
This is a great way to get to see past clients and see what else you can do to serve them. There are many creative gifts that you can make to give to your clients. Pinterest has so many creative ideas. Try to get out and do this a couple of times a year.
Community Involvement
This is one of the best ways to get your name out there. Volunteer to help out different organizations. When you work with your local community, you will be more likely to be remembered. This is a good way to get content for your social media too.
While these are little to no cost marketing strategies, the cost will be the extra time. But the investment can be one that will benefit you in the future.
